Not many will remember the Lancia Trevi, a three box alternative to the Beta of the 1970s and 1980s.
The Trevi had an engine in the front driving as you would expect the front wheels. Later a supercharger was fitted. All well and good but then Lancia wanted to work with four wheel drive for rallying. What to do? A four wheel drive Trevi of course. But not the conventional way. Oh no. A matching engine at the back saved having to use all those extra drive shafts and so we arrived at the Bimotore.

Trevi has an amazing dashboard. I wonder what kind did the special model have.

I kind of assumed that the Citroën 2CV Sahara was the only car trying the engine at both ends approach to four wheel drive- not so, clearly. Can't think of any others, though.

Ineteresting. Is that from double engined Scirocco? It clearly has VW style and I cannot think any other double engined cars that might have VDO gauges.

Yes, VDO made one specially about 30 years ago for one of the two bimotor Sciroccos. I've just dome a new post about it.
